Are you going to just preorder the album without even listening to samples of the songs, or are you going to stop by itunes/Amazon to test them out first?

You mean, I'm guessing, if I'm gonna blindly order Something...
Hell yes.

I'm going to check it out at itunes first...I kind of blindly bought LLI based on the strength of DUTG clips, so I'm going to be a bit more cautious this time...Mind you, sometimes itunes can be misleading too, but usually that 10 second clip is enough...

Clips are sometimes misleading because I remember listening to some Amazon clips of Breaking Benjamin's Dear Agony though another site's clips were slightly different and made the album more appealing. This ended up being my favorite record of the year so...yeah. I'll be pre-ordering the CD or just visiting Wal-Mart on the day of its release, depending if there are any extra goodies on a pre-order. I'm sure that there will be some worthwhile stuff regardless, so I'll be willing to take the dive regardless if I'm iffy on any clips I hear.

I never preorder. I always get it at the store. with LLI in the fact that you could hear the entire CD online the day before it's release just made me wait a few days before I bought it. Of course we all know that I am not too thrilled with LLI.

If I like what I hear at itunes, I might just head out to Wal-mart and see if they have it...My Wal-mart's CD section is really small and their game section is huge! If they don't have it I'll try Best Buy and HMV...The mall is like 8 minutes walking distance from my place so that should be easy...It will be tempting to buy it at itunes at midnight if it sounds good though...Still, it's funner to have the actual CD...

I'm guessing they'll be some neat little pre-order thing, so that's partly why I'm so gung-ho on pre-ordering.

I love getting the CDs over iTunes if I can help it. I only use iTunes for bands I don't care as much about but want to get the record more cheaply or if I want to just get the bonus tracks (should they be purchasable without buying the whole CD) or just an odd song if I just like the one out of a bunch or if it's the single and it'll be a while before the CD drops. So...yeah, that's my buying habits in a nutshell.

I like itunes because you can get your songs the midnight before it's released at other stores, and be one of the first to hear them...I'll probably pick and choose a few right away because I'm not a patient person...Listening to all those clips will be great too, like picking and choosing a little of this and a little of that at your favourite buffet...Yum!

Hehe. I've actually tried experimenting by going into CDs I'm anticipating knowing as little as possible. It's fun. Especially since I'm typically an impatient person too.

I know. That's why I was proud of myself for actually pulling it off. I think with Goo, I'll just listen to clips at the very most and steer clear from YouTube should people leak entire tracks.

I'll pre-order Something AND go buy it when it drops; granted I'll only pre-order if there's some sort of Gooey perk. Oh, and I'm gonna try not to listen to crap, but I feel like I've heard so much from Goo already that the album may not be THAT much of a surprise. But, I've liked what I've heard, so, I should be happy with the end product.

Mind you with the new producer they might have totally changed their sound....I tend to like the bare bones acoustic stuff the best (from the clips) so I'm kind of nervous about what the finished product will sound like... But there's something special about the songs that we know nothing about at all...I can't wait to hear those! It's like that unexpected Christmas present that's off the list, but totally blows your mind...(hopefully)
