The End.
Post in this thread, if you're okay with this being The End, if it happened to be.

I'm confused...The end of what? The end of the Goo Goo Dolls making new CDs and touring?

Yeah, end of new albums/end of new tours in this fashion. If this was the last new album, how'd you feel about it?
Just a reaction thread, y'all, to a hypothetical.

It does make you wonder but I hope not.
With Mike & guys with 40 Marshas and Robby with his studio and various projects. John's talking about going to school a lot and his specific plans of what he wants to do. Also his acoustic shows. Probably depends how well this new album does of what their future will hold.

They'll stop when Robby says, "Stop", cuz he's the one who said, "Go". I love the way you phrased that Di. So true. So funny too.

I would accept it, but I do hope it's something they've been wanting to do for a long time and have all thought about it. Not just because they got in a fight orso. But I wouldn't like it. I'm one of the newer fans of this bands, becoming a fan around the time BITL was released (so after LLI), so I want to be able to enjoy new things from this band for at least another 5-10year.
I like this thread btw.. it's something I've been thinking about every now and then. I can't really imagine how it will affect me.

I would nooooot be happy. but then again I want the Goo's to go on forever I've only been a fan for 4 years, so I want to continue for at least another 4. And I thought I heard John say something about a next album in one of the interviews. Can't really remember more than that though..

I would be very sad but if they all really wanted to quit, I'd appreciate their decision. I'm a really new fan, haven't known them even for a year so I'd like to enjoy their new stuff as long as possible. Jon Bon Jovi said recently that he can't imagine himself playing and touring in his 50's and, what, he's 47? Man, I only have 3 years to see Bon Jovi! Oh my, I don't want to think about the Goos quitting although it creeps into my mind every now and then. Aww, I like that. I hope he won't say "stop" anytime soon.

It would be strange and I would be sad of course, because there is really so little good music out there, that if the Goo Goo Dolls quit, there goes all that potential.

I would be totally heartbroken. I've been a fan since ABNG came out and I can't even imagine what life would be like without any new material from them. Waiting for this new CD is difficult enough!

If the Goos would quit it would be so sad cause there's little music out there that's true to people and their emotions. I think people are craving real music like the Goos make. If they would ever talk about quiting we would have to petition at their houses to never quit cause we need them in our lives for as many years as possible.

I won't lie; I've had thoughts of this being it... With all the perfectionism, and all the general contentment they seem to exude.... Like, it won't be some sort of FUCK THIS, WE'RE DONE sort of thing... But just this gracious dissipation... And, I'd be all okay.... Until I really understand that there wouldn't be any more new music from them.... and then I'd just cry.

Oh Gosh I hope not but if it is it is nothing we can do about it. I just hope they warn us so I can go to as many shows as possible.
