Yeah, I'll admit that it is annoying that we're getting dragged along for so long. It may not seem like a while to them, but it feels like an eternity to us. Yep...I don't know why Robby has been teasing us...If they know the name they should either tell us, or keep it quiet until they are ready to tell us...I really don't understand the motive in telling us that he will tell us soon...It just leads to frustration in my opinion...

Yeah, I think someone who thought that they were gonna tie it in with Buffalo (as many people were thinking that they were gonna do) tried to jump the gun. Personally, when I checked the last time, I was going to take that listing off myself as I've been known to fix up the GGD page along with the guys' personal ones whenever stupid/false info comes along.
Come to think of it, the name was making me think of a SSCW-ish album (on top of the robots thing). I kept on thinking of grey-ish covers.
Anyways, I just hope Robby and co gets their asses in gear and finally tell us what the bloody title is. I mean, you'd think they would given the mystery of the undisclosed location and since it's May now (yay for May!). And to be honest, though the title may seem be insignificant in overall news, I believe it gives us an idea of what to expect with the mood/tone/etc.

According to AG (and how the fuck do they get their info anyway) Nickle city is not and I repeat not the title. But debate on. I agree with TA it makes me think Nickle Back and I do not like them either. I heard from someone that AG is someone associated with the band. Not 100% who but they are associate somehow so that may be how they get info. I like nickle Back but don't like the sound of the name either. They will have something better I am sure.

*glances at BB and HiG* See? Isn't apathy the way to go? I mean, really?
Takac teases us with possibly telling us that he may tell us eventually something. Rzeznik posts an almost ridiculously obscured and short clip (studio cam...).
I for one... And I've almost felt this way this whole god damn time... Feel that we should either know EVERYTHING that's going on or absolutely nothing, and then just be wonderfully surprised when it's released.
Anyway. Glad someone got it off Wiki. Hope they finish it soon, blahblahblah thesameshitwe'vebeensayingabout#9forgodknowshowlong.

I don't normally get on soapboxes but... *gets on soapbox*
TA, I know where you're coming from but...you're just not going to convert me into being apathetic. Stop trying. I don't like numbing myself to things when I know that deep down, I'm not being true to myself. If Robby/John/Mike was trying to hype up something I didn't give a rat's ass about, I wouldn't try to do the reverse and pretend to care.
We live in a society now where information is becoming more and more readily available. It won't ever revert to the dark ages of CD-making where you only find out through the odd magazines/commercials/etc. Granted, the band can't let us know everything or there would be nothing to look forward to so there will always be the peaks and valleys as far as the flow of information. In short, what I'm getting at is that the all-or-nothing extremes can't exist in this situation anymore. We're just gonna have to grin and bear it. And I for one don't mind commiserating during the lulls together.
*falls off soapbox*

Sometimes it's easier to be apathetic...I think I would prefer the all or nothing approach too sometimes...

Okay, excuse my phrasing, because I've been wording this wrong...
It's not precisely apathy that I mean, because, clearly... We're all going to care, to some degree, or we wouldn't be fans. What I've been trying to say... Is, well.... More accurately my point is self control. Goobers who are getting miffed about not knowing what's going on, or generally impatient about not knowing what's going on... I think should, as you said HiG, just "grin and bear it". I'm just suggesting that, perhaps, the grinning and bearing should be done a bit more calmly, or gracefully, because... Speaking from my own experience... If you let yourself get too caught up in the pre-release/recording hype... You might be setting yourself up, you know?
And, I'm not calling anyone out on this, I'm just voicing my own opinion, and I'm just as guilty as the next Goober. (I mean, hell, I joined Twitter for updates... And I said I wasn't going to do that; same with IM. So, yeah, feel free to roll your eyes and cry 'Hypocrite!")
So, it's not clear-cut apathy that I mean(b/c that's not technically possible for any of us, I don't think)... It's more... Just self-control, for one's own sake. I just don't want any of my Goober buddies to get so caught up that they're disappointed or let down in some way, shape, or form, when #9 comes out. And, it's not that I didn't care.. It's that I didn't care to know. I always wondered and thought about it, but I just tried to avoid the hype/info. Now, I'm just as sucked-in as anyone, so I'm choosing to take a step back, and not think quite so much about it all. I'll just be extra floored/surprised when the title's announced, or the date's released, or the tour's scheduled, and/or the thing actually drops.
I know this approach doesn't work for everyone, because I know some Goobers just have to know, but... This approach works for me (probably because this is my third non-comp album to wait for), but I know it's not a cure-all for everyone.
Lastly, I know we'll never go back to the days where we heard one bit of news on Vh1, like three months before the album came out, or whatever... This isn't called the Information Age for nothing. What I meant by all or nothing, was just... 1) They could post more clips, or more info in general, not just the intentional vagueness (kind of like EB or 3EB.... More in-studio clips or a completed song or two). Of course, as you said HiG, they can't show everything (I know.) b/c there'd be nothing left... But, since everyone's getting all up in arms about knowing so little, they could, well... They could give a little bit more, or more often. That's more like All. 2) Nothing? They could just keep it hush-hush until it's about to drop and THEN push it.
But, w/e. I know I've bored y'all before with my views on all this hype, and I won't waste y'all's time again. Sorry.

Oh, the all or nothing approach would drive me mad. In the case of nothing, I'd be like, 'Guys....are you all...dead? *sniffle*'

I think.... Honestly, I think we'd all... feel it, like an imbalance in the force, if something happened to them.... But, I understand... I know in OUR case, HiG, we're completely different people.... We're as different as-
