Seriously, I am getting epic Breaking Benjamin vibes from this new song and as sad as it is to say...I pray that this is the weakest of their tracks because as it stands right now, they've become a second-rate Breaking Benjamin. Music - Good. Vocals - Good. Lyrics - I want Matisyn back.

God damn it. I agree with you...... The music's good, I approve. I'm very happy with the vocals, though I prefer Matisyn, just as I prefer his lyrics, too.... But, if they become an understudy for b_ben, then I'm okay with that, too... I am, though, now VERY interested in what Matisyn will do on his own.

I know he's got a new band (Parabelle) and a solo CD in the works. From the demos I've listened to on his MySpace, the songs there sounds like good stuff. More like the EB of old, I think (yeah, I'm starting to think HE was truly the soul of EB, not the music). Either way, I'll be definitely looking out for it but I have hope for the Matisyn-less EB; it's growing on me and it's definitely making me curious as to what the rest of the CD'll sound like.
Oh, and you know what's funny? I had my iPod on shuffle today and it had an EB song followed by BB. I had to laugh at the irony.

I knew about the solo, but I hadn't heard, or I forgot, about the new band. Thanks for the heads-up! And, yeah... Matisyn was what was unique and kickass about former EB.
It's not quite growing on me... But, i'm still excited, nevertheless.
