Okay, I'm fucking blind, because I don't know how I've missed this... www.prefixmag.com/news/sugar-ray-painfully-aware-of-their-fanbase-legacy-/28674/tl;dr: Sugar Ray's got a new album, Music for Cougars, coming out in July. They're gonna go back to touring, and they're being realistic about it... Considering it's been ten years since Gooey Sugar.... I'd be totally okay with that pairing again.(Personally, it'd be a swell piece of nostalgia for me.)

Wow. I'm surprised that douchebag writer hasn't been fired yet. (He also wrote the article on Limp Bizkit reuniting with the incorrect Goo claim) On the other hand, I really applaud Mark for being so realistic about the music fan-base. That's a really refreshing change.
The idea of reuniting for another tour would be good. The guys seemed to have a lot of fun together so it doesn't seem so farfetched as an idea. Of course Goo would have to get their asses in gear to release the CD somewhere near MFC. Oooh...imagine if they did and they released it on the 21st? OLP-SR-GGD. Niiiiice. *dreams*

I think a SRGGD tour would work for next year, too. I mean, I really don't think the Dolls will get #9 out before, well, September/October...
But! That gives SR time to do a small-venue solo tour, which will warm them up for a HUGE summer tour next year with the Dolls! Tahdah!
