Might still be too early to be sure, but here goes anyway : Snow Patrol 'definitely releasing a new album next year'www.nme.com/news/snow-patrol/51401Group will record the follow-up to 'A Hundred Million Suns' in October June 7, 2010 | 0 Comments Snow Patrol have announced that they will release a new album next year. The follow-up to 2008's 'A Hundred Million Suns', the as-yet untitled LP will be out sometime in 2011. "Definitely next year, at what point we don't know," drummer Jonny Quinn told the Daily Record. "It will be after February and before July. We're going to record new material in October." As for inspiration for their sixth studio effort, Quinn revealed that being outdoors is proving useful, although admitted that the group write in various places. "These days, it's better to be out somewhere in the open, by the sea", he explained. "I live by the sea in Ireland and I find that's the most inspiring time, sitting with a guitar on the beach, but we write on the tourbus, in dressing rooms, in the studio and in phone boxes, because no one is using them because everyone has mobile phones." Meanwhile, Snow Patrol frontman Gary Lightbody and REM's Peter Buck are releasing an album under the name Tired Pony, called 'The Place We Ran From', on July 12.

(And their album title reminds me of Snow Patrol's A Hundred Million Suns.) God, I know about that title. Should be interesting to see where they take this one. I might pick that up. Along with some Trapt's No Apologies that comes out September 14 as well.
